Summer Term 2021

Maths Week!

17th – 21st May 2021

We really enjoyed Maths Week! We learned that Maths really is all around us, in everything we do!

Can you spot your photo and tell your grown up all about what you were doing when it was taken?

Dolly Turns 5!

We spent all week preparing for Dolly’s 5th birthday, on Friday. We made cards, decorations for the classroom, presents on the craft table, drew pictures, made playdough cakes and made birthday badges.

On Friday, we had a party for Dolly. We loved dancing, playing party games and gave her her cards and presents. What a lovely week!

BBC Children in Need 2020

Didn’t we all look fabulous for Children in Need? Thank you for all of your kind donations.

We have had a great first week in our new class. Take a look at what we’ve been up to!

Spring Term 2020

Sport Relief 2020

Dolphins class are so proud of themselves! We, as well as all of the classes in our school, ran a mile for Sport Relief. This added up to 12 miles. To reach our goal of completing the Petersfield Infant School Half Marathon, some very willing grown ups ran the last mile with some of our teachers.

We are amazing, resilient and we never give up!

Storytelling Week 2020

We had a very busy Storytelling Week. We had some authors visit our school and then became authors ourselves, in our classroom. On Thursday we came to school dressed as our favourite book characters. Didn’t we look great?!

Pirate Day!

We looked amazing dressed as pirates on Pirate Day. We went on a treasure hunt around the school, made telescopes, played pirate themed games and made a fish!

Zumbathon for Asthma UK

We had lots of fun taking part in the Zumbathon with Mrs Powney. We raised lots of money for Asthma UK, too!

Autumn Term 2019

We are ready for our Christmas performances!

Take a look at us dressed up in our costumes, before we performed ‘Our Very First Nativity’ to Year 1 and some of the local preschools.

Happy Birthday, Dolly Dolphin!

Over the past fortnight we have enjoyed preparing for Dolly Dolphins’ birthday. We wrote invitations and birthday cards for her party. We carried out a class tally to find which party food was our favourite. We made decorations, badges and presents using craft and construction. Finally we celebrated with a fantastic party!

Physical Development in Year R

Below are some of the Dolphins taking part in a small selection of the gross motor activities available to them throughout the school day.

We work on building core strength through a range of tasks – including using the outdoor gym, rolling large tyres, yoga, and using our brand new pully system!

The development of strong core muscles is really important at this young age.

Look at us go!

Children in Need 2019

On Friday 15th November, we all brought in a teddy from home and donated to Children in Need.

Thank you so much for your generous donations!

We loved having our teddies join us for a fun Friday at school!

Autumn Walk.

We had great fun being nature detectives on our autumn walk today. Look at some of the things that we spotted…

Thank you very much to all of the grown-ups that helped us. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

We have had great fun over the first half term in PE. We have been learning about how to find a space, how to warm up our bodies and we have been using lots of different equipment.

We have had a lovely first week in our new classroom. Take a look at what we’ve been up to…

What is your favourite thing to do at school?

Summer Term

Longdown Dairy Farm.

We had a fantastic day being farmers at Longdown Dairy Farm. We had to feed the big goats, the baby goats, collect the eggs to take to the shop and we got to hold chicks and guinea pigs.

It is hard work being a farmer!

Thank you to all of the grown ups who helped us. We had an amazing day and we hope you did too!

We are Superheroes!

Well done Dolphins, you all looked great!
