Penguins Past Events

Summer Term 2021

We had an amazing Olympic Day at school. All the Penguins looked fantastic in their sports clothes.

The week of 17th May has been Maths Week and we have loved trying new maths games and having all sorts of mathematical investigations.

Sport Relief

We all enjoyed running a mile for Sport Relief today!

World Book Day and Storytelling Week!

We looked amazing dressed up as our favourite story book character to celebrate World Book Day. Can you recognise them all?

We loved our special storytelling sessions, where we heard stories being read by real authors.

Pirate Day!

We looked amazing dressed as pirates on Pirate Day. We went on a treasure hunt around the school, made telescopes, played pirate themed games and made a fish!

Today we came to school dressed in our sporty clothes to help raise money for Asthma UK.

We had great fun taking part in a Zumbathon with Mrs Powney!

Autumn Term 2019

We have been working so hard on our Christmas Performance, we hope you all enjoy it! Look at our fabulous costumes.

We had a delicious Christmas dinner at school today! We all showed amazing manners; a huge thank you to our kitchen staff!

Over the past fortnight we have enjoyed preparing for Percy the Penguins’ birthday. We wrote invitations and birthday cards for his party. We carried out a class tally to find which party food was our favourite. We made decorations, badges and presents using craft and construction. Finally we celebrated with a fantastic party!

Physical Development in Year R

Below are some of the Penguins taking part in a small selection of the gross motor activities available to them throughout the school day.

We work on building core strength through a range of tasks – including using the outdoor gym, rolling large tyres, yoga, and using our brand new pully system!

The development of strong core muscles is really important at this young age.

Look at us go!

On Friday 15th November, we all brought in a teddy from home and donated to Children in Need. We also completed some Pudsey themed activities at school during the week.

Thank you so much for your generous donations!

We have been on our Autumn Walk.  We were super Autumn Detectives!

Here are some of the signs of Autumn we spotted:

We have been working hard in our PE lessons at school. We are getting very quick at changing into our PE kits and have been learning lots of new skills and games!

We have had a lovely first week exploring our new classroom. Take a look at what we’ve been up to.

What is your favourite thing to do at school?
