Crissy Hodgkinson

Headteacher

I am thoroughly enjoying my time as headteacher at Petersfield Infant School. The children are wonderful to be around, making me laugh and smile everyday. They are without a doubt the best part of my job! When I am not at work, I love to read and spend time with my family and my lovely Cocker Spaniel, Freddie.

Deputy Headteacher and Year 1 Leader

I have had the pleasure of working at Petersfield Infant School for 23 years. It is a fabulous environment for both the children and staff and I am very proud of all that we achieve. I fill my spare time with enjoying the great outdoors, travelling the world and enjoying music.

 

 

Clare Parsons

Year 2 Leader

I am thoroughly enjoying teaching in Year 2. It’s been fun getting to know the children and I am looking forward to seeing their many achievements as the year progresses. When I am not in school, I like to spend time with my husband and two sons. I enjoy running and reading, sometimes combining the two with a good audio book! I also love visiting the theatre.

 

Annette Turner

Year R Leader

I have been teaching for many years, most of which I have spent in reception. It’s always exciting following the children on their learning journey when they start school. In my spare time, I love walking, especially when the route finishes at a coffee shop! I also have a real passion for music, singing and performing. My family and I are all involved in the theatre and spend many happy hours watching amazing shows!

 

Ruth Downer

I am so proud to be a class teacher at Petersfield Infant School. It really is a very special school to be part of. The children are friendly and a real pleasure to be around. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and like to get outdoors whenever I can. If I have any extra spare time, I enjoy reading and Yoga.

 

Ali Hook

Year R Teacher

I enjoy working at Petersfield Infant School and have loved getting to know the children and their families over the years that I have been here. When I’m not in school, I love spending time with my friends and going out for day trips and walks with my family. One of my favourite books is The Gruffalo and I enjoy reading this with the children I work with and my little girl.

 

Carol Jones

Year 2 Teacher 

I have been a teacher at Petersfield Infant School for over 10 years and I love being part of the team.  I have taught in each year group.  I am currently teaching in Year 2.  I thoroughly enjoy watching the children on their journey to completing infant school, watching them learn and grow ready to start in Year 3 by the end of the year!  In my free time I like keeping active by running and swimming and I like spending time with friends and family.

 

Caroline Matthews

I have a real passion for early years and love working in Year R. Every day is different and the children’s excitement to learn makes me feel so lucky to work here. Outside of school I enjoy going to my allotment and going on lots of camping adventures with my family and friends.

 

 

Fiona Pullinger

Year 2 Teacher

I love working at Petersfield Infant School. Every day feels like a new adventure, and working with such kind and enthusiastic children (and adults!) is a real privilege. When I am not at school you will find me somewhere outside in the countryside with my horse Tom or two playful dogs Harvey and Belle.

 

Sam Turner

Year R Teacher

I attended Petersfield Infant School as a child and am now very proud to be teaching here myself. I love supporting the children and seeing the ‘lightbulb moments’ when they learn something new. When I get the chance I like to spend time in the garden, go for walks in the countryside and read.

 

Louise Harris

Year 1 Teacher

I have worked in schools for about 18 years but I had a break to have my children. I’m now really enjoying being back in the classroom, especially at Petersfield Infant School, where all three of my children have been nurtured and taught. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dog Hattie, baking cakes and going to see musicals at the theatre. 

 

Franky Blake

I started at Petersfield Infant School in September 2023in Year 2 and I have loved every minute of my time here so far!  When I am not in school, you will find me on lots of outdoor adventures with Arlo my dog, paddle boarding, hiking or on trips to the beach in our van.

 I have felt very welcomed to Petersfield Infant School and look forward to the coming year.  When I am not at school I enjoy playing rugby at Havant RFC as well as spending time with family and friends.

I have been a teacher at Petersfield Infant School for 7 years, and I absolutely love it. Teaching is my passion, and I strive to make learning an exciting adventure for the children. I enjoy creating innovative lessons and connecting with each child in my class. Seeing their faces light up with understanding is incredibly rewarding.  Being part of the Petersfield community has been a wonderful experience, and I look forward to many more years here.

Ally Whelan 

Finance Officer

My involvement with the school started with PISA 15 years ago when my son joined Petersfield Infant School. I became a member of the Lunchtime Team when my daughter joined 3 years later. After a number of roles at school, I am now responsible for all things ‘money’  at school – a role I thoroughly enjoy. When not here I will normally be walking my dogs Whisper and Merlin, running around after my children or dreaming of being back on a beach!!

Knowing how Petersfield Infant School, and its wonderful team,helped shape my own children’s early years, it is a huge privilege to now be part of the school community.  Every day is different here and I love it!  Outside of work, I like nothing more than countryside and coastal adventures with my husband and two sons, family and friends.

Hello! I am Sarah one of the office administrators. Since joining the Infant school in 2022 I feel so grateful to be a part of such an amazing, funny and welcoming team, every day brings something new. When I am not at work you will find me baking cakes for my family & friends or with my two boys watching Disney movies!

Cat Amos

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

I have been working at the school for about ten years after transitioning from a career in banking.  I have experienced various support roles in school gaining an understanding of how to effectively assist children in all aspects of school life. Aa a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, I work across all three year groups, which has allo0wed me to build long lasting relationships with the children and witness their growth and progress.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two teenage daughters and our energetic working spaniel!

 

Sababa Sadullah

Higher Level Teaching Assistant

I am one of the HLTAs at the school. I work across the 3 year groups and immensely enjoy my role in supporting pupils in this early stage of their learning journey. The team here is brilliant and I am extremely proud to be a part of it and the children with their innocence, kindness and trust in us make it a very rewarding and meaningful role to play. In my spare time I love to read, go out for walks and if my slow legs allow have a go at running. I have a special love for trees and birds too.

I feel very privileged to be actively involved with the school, both as a governor and a member of staff as a higher-level teaching assistant working across the school. I love being part of such a dedicated team, and it is extremely rewarding to be part of the children’s learning journey, helping them to develop and grow throughout their time at the school. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters, and rabbits, going for walks in the countryside or at the beach, paddle boarding, reading, and going to the gym.

Emotional Literacy Support Assistant

I am so pleased to be working among the amazing staff at Petersfield Infant School in the beautiful community of Petersfield.  After 20 years of teaching ages 3-10 in both the UK and the US I have developed a passion for individualized teaching strategies.  I am excited about helping our pupils develop social and emotional skills in my new role as an emotional literacy support assistant.  In my free time I enjoy cycling, yoga, reading and spending time with my family.

I really enjoy supporting children in their learning and adventures at Petersfield Infant School. There is a great team of dedicated and caring staff at the school and it is a privilege to work with them. Whether it is supporting children one to one,  in small groups or a whole  class, it is fantastic to see the children progress and grow.

I love working at Petersfield Infants with such an inspiring team. Helping the children to thrive on their learning journey with us is very rewarding. The spirit of curiosity and fun that runs throughout the school is infectious and makes every day an exciting new adventure.

In my free time, I love reading, music, running, visiting art galleries and am currently learning to play the piano!

I feel honoured be a part of something great. I thoroughly enjoy working at the Petersfield Infant School; learning and growing alongside the children. I’m routing for them all, they’re all wonderfully unique. The children make me smile, a lot. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me hunting for the Gruffalo with my Gruffalo obsessed son. I love reading and writing and being creative. I also love concerts and rollercoasters.

I am really enjoying my time as a teaching assistant at Petersfield Infant School. Being able to work at this school is such a privilege, after having attended as a child myself. When I'm not working, you will find me exploring wonderful places with my amazing daughter and family!

Every day is different at the Petersfield Infants and that’s what makes it so much fun! I love being part of a fantastic team who have every child’s best interest at heart. Whether I am helping in class, assisting small groups, or providing support to an individual on a 1:1 basis, it’s a privilege to see the children grow and develop. When I’m not in school, I love to spend my time outside; either at the beach, gardening or on a family walk with my dog. I also enjoy juggling.

I feel so lucky to have been working as a member of the support staff team at Petersfield Infant School for many years. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know such wonderful children in class and my time with speech and language and ELSA across the year groups. In my spare time I enjoy long country runs and walks with Ivy my dog, I love reading and singing.

I am Mrs Shirley and I have been working at Petersfield Infant School for 20 years. It has been a wonderful experience to see so many children come through our school. I am married with 2 children and also have a dog and a cat. I enjoy time with my family and the great outdoors.

Bonjour! My name is Mrs Lyons.  I am French and have been living in Petersfield for over twenty years.  I started working at the Petersfield Infants School as a Lunchtime Supervisor Assistant when my children were at the school.  I did this for several years before becoming a Teaching Assistant 3 years ago.  I love working with the children in the classroom on a daily basis, and feel proud to be part of a great team. In my free time, I enjoy going to live music events, socialising, travelling and walking in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.

I have been at the wonderful Petersfield Infant School for 21 years – most of my time spent in Year R. I love being part of the school and the wider community. When I’m not having fun at school, I love travelling, particularly on trains, all around the country.
